Ecumenical Commission for Human Development (ECHD) is a faith-driven organization serving marginalized communities across Pakistan through compassion, justice, and ecumenical partnership. Guided by the Gospel, we empower communities, uphold human dignity, and promote hope, peace, and sustainable transformation.
We envision a world free from poverty, disease, and injustice, where every person can flourish with dignity and God’s transforming love.
What we do
The ECHD empowers communities and churches to live out their faith through action and service. Through ecumenical leadership formation, we nurture young and emerging leaders to build bridges across denominations and faith traditions. Our Prophetic witness and Diakonia inspire churches, congregations, and communities to speak boldly for justice while serving the most vulnerable with compassion.
We champion economic, ecological, and gender justice, equipping communities to challenge inequality, care for creation, and uphold dignity for all. By advancing human rights and democracy, we strengthen civic participation and advocate for inclusive, accountable governance. In times of crisis, our humanitarian relief assistance delivers life-saving support, restoring hope and resilience.
Together, these thematic areas transform lives, promote unity, and bear witness to God’s love in action.
Our Impact
We have worked on transforming lives of over 45,000+ children, young people, young girls and women, transgender, and marginalized communities.
